We had an amazing Chanukah celebration on Sunday in front of the Old State Capitol, with special guest, Senator Dick Durbin joining us to kick off Chanukah with a grand Menorah lighting. The Springfield Fire Department even performed a grand "Gelt Drop" where chocolate coins were dropped down onto the crowd.
We want to give a special thank you to Starbucks for sponsoring the coffee - the hot drinks were much needed on such a cold day. Everyone enjoyed the Chanukah celebration and the delicious treats.
